Why I enjoy and am so passionate about solar… 

Grew up a farm boy. We lived the “Farm to Table” lifestyle long before we knew that it was a thing. 

Got my Eagle Scout Award at 16 years old.  Dad was a forester, so I was raised with the idea that stewardship of the earth and living a sustainable life was just what you did. Why would you live any other way? 

Our family farm is a Registered Tree Farm currently celebrating its 50-year anniversary. My Dad and I planted 30,000 trees by hand (for real) and use European forestry methods to manage the property. One of my Dad’s favorite sayings is “The two best days to plant a tree: 30-years ago and today.”  Today my sister and brother-in-law run the family farm and a considered the go-to place for “Grass fed, organic and free range everything”.
 

Today, as one of my ways to give back, I am a Certified Wilderness First Aid Instructor. I guess this is my way of helping people get more comfortable and closer to nature. My belief is that if a person gets closer to nature they will also help make the world a better place. Finally, I’m a business guy. So, I realize that solar is about a green earth AND about Greenbacks. The cool thing is that adding solar to a home saves an enormous amount of money over time. Relating to solar – the two best times to buy solar: 5-years ago and TODAY!
